The story follows a generation of young Chinese as they grow up between 1893, before the First Sino-Japanese War, and the outbreak of the 1911 Xinhai Revolution. Flowers fall, and flowers bloom again. It is the passionate youth of each generation who carry the hopes of the nation. This was true in the past, it is true today, and it will be true in the future. Only through this cycle of flowers falling and blooming can the nation remain forever vibrant and full of hope.
