Forty-two-year-old Xu Hui is the vice president of a technology company in Shanghai. She has a successful career and has been single for many years. She has long been accustomed to carrying everything on her own. Forty-eight-year-old Wu Jiangyu came to apply for the position of Operations and Maintenance Director. He wrote his resume by hand. He lost his wife and had a daughter who was in the first grade of high school. I gave it four stars because of the mood and atmosphere of the novel. It felt good at first, but when I read it I felt something was wrong. The words and sentences in each section were the same, but the plot of the story was changed, which was very monotonous.
The so-called love of middle-aged people in the book is not a thunderstorm in midsummer. It is guided by impulse. It comes and goes in a hurry. It is more like the evening breeze in early summer. It is just right, neither cool nor hot. It even makes people expect something in their hearts. The plot advances slowly without any drastic turning points or conflicts. It is very similar to the character of middle-aged people. Good book
