In 1979, gunfire broke out in southern Xinjiang. Scout Chen Weidong was ordered to sneak across the border. This book does not tell heroic myths, but only writes about the hot bullet casings in the barrels of guns, the names left on the red earth, and the rough breathing and silent farewells in the trenches. Chen Weidong witnessed the fall of his comrades, killed the enemy with his own hands, and also captured the living "tongue". Every battle is a real collision of flesh and blood - there is no halo of the protagonist, only the fear and courage of never knowing who the next bullet will hit. It is a rough epic about the war in southern Xinjiang.

I read this book at once, as if I had returned to the war-torn era, and the story of our heroes defending their homeland and country was as if they were immersed in it. I would like to thank the author, Tomato Novels, for letting me read such a beautiful work.
