In Xinghua City, Hua Chi, the eldest girl from the Hua family who works in the kitchen, finds a bloody handprint with incense ash on the kitchen door three months after her mother disappeared mysteriously. Following a case of violent death of a widow, a dry well of the Xie family, and a series of past incidents of borrowing face, life, and raising a family, she was forced to get involved in the underground door that has been entangled for many years between the Hua family, the Xie family, and the government. On the surface, she wanted to take her mother home; but as she went deeper, she discovered that the Hua family herself was also part of the old debt. The whole work is based on the fireworks of the old city, the rules of the funeral, the underground kitchen palace and the cause and effect of human life. The main plot is that a little girl who originally just wanted to keep a hot meal at home was forced to take over the debt left by her ancestors, and finally changed the old rule of "eating the living".
