[Farming] [Imperial exams] [Family life] [Political scheming] [Turn the world upside down] [Rule the Earth]
After transmigrating into a destitute official's family, with their fortune squandered and their livelihood hanging by a thread, Yao Ling could hardly have been born at a worse time.
His grandfather dies of anger, his eldest uncle is arrested, his third uncle only knows how to line his own pockets, and his grandmother is blind to everything and shamelessly biased.
Faced with chaos in every corner of the family, Yao Ling bravely steps forward.
He builds a family business, and from then on they never worry about food or drink.
He takes the imperial examinations, and from then on his official career flourishes.
He gains power and wins the heart of a beauty.
Every step Yao Ling takes is a struggle, yet each one shines brilliantly!
At court, first comes the bloody battle for the throne, then the utterly brutal struggle between the old and new factions.
The political landscape is treacherous, everyone plots and schemes, and one act ends only for another to begin.
Yao Ling has just one word: “Fight!”
(Voice-over: That's clearly four words!)
Years later, the family matriarch finally decides to hand Yao Ling the housekeeper's keys.
“My dear grandson, without you this family would fall apart!”
When people ask him what he thinks of his life, he only smiles faintly.
“Fantastic!”
