Lin Feng transmigrates to Japan's Warring States period in 1560, inheriting a dilapidated mountain village from the start.
He only wants to keep his head down and survive, but discovers that the entire village is full of "lunatics":
A scrawny villager calls himself an "unrivaled warrior" and licks rocks to charge up before a fight;
A charlatan shrine maiden rolls mud into pills on the spot and calls them divine elixirs, then tears off her clothes and hides in the woodshed whenever it thunders;
A stingy steward weeps and complains of hunger, while secretly hoarding thirty baskets of sweet potatoes!
Most outrageous of all, Lin Feng gets a ping! and awakens the [Ranting Loot-Drop System]!
He complains, "This woodcutter's axe is too dull," and [The Unruly's Nemesis: Divine Iron-Cleaving Blade] drops from the sky;
He complains, "The steward is too stingy," and unlocks [Food-Finding Across a Thousand Miles: X-Ray Cheat]!
To stay alive, Lin Feng decides to lead this troupe of drama queens in making history:
He hangs a sign calling the latrine the "Imperial Palace of the Emperor" and bestows the title "Royal Stables" on the pigsty!
They must unite the three mountain strongholds within ten days, or the entire village will be wiped out!
Facing the "Great Shogun Who Seizes Both Food and People," Lin Feng draws his divine woodcutter's axe:
"Oda Nobunaga, shoguns of the bakufu, what does any of that matter? Before my [Unruly's Nemesis] axe, you're all nothing but chickens and dogs! Since you want to fight for supremacy, I'll lead the whole village of 'lunatics' and smash the rules of this world to smithereens!"
