A poor 21-year-old who was looked down on by the whole village unexpectedly awakens an ability to sense sea spirits. He digs the first gold that will change his fate out of the tidal flats, and in the Red Bay of the 1980s, he uses his own two hands and a heart of gold to build a home for his wife and children.
