The Special Forces King Becomes a Beat Cop

Lin Rui, a reconnaissance company commander, is transferred out of the military. His father-in-law points at him and scolds, “Once you leave the army, you’re nothing!” His colleagues laugh that he’s come to coast until retirement. Even when his wife falls ill, he’s on duty and can’t get home.

But they don’t know that when a child goes missing, he can pinpoint the target in three minutes; when catching a habitual thief, he sees through the disguise at a glance; and when mediating a decade-old dispute, he finds the root of the problem with a single sentence.

At a police station on the edge of the city, every third day means a 24-hour shift. Petty disputes, drunken brawls, prostitution, organized crime: he uses a reconnaissance soldier’s methods to handle every “minor case” to perfection.

Then his first love suddenly appears, bringing him food, showing him affection, and seeming to have something she can’t quite say. There are too many coincidences around her, as if it were all part of a carefully planned trap.

He trades his military uniform for a police uniform. Some people want to win him over, some want to frame him, and some want to destroy him. Lin Rui has only one thing to say:

“I’m a police officer.”
