The moment Lin Wanzhao opens her eyes, she has become the little wife everyone despises in a factory family compound in 1978.
Her husband deceived her into marriage three years ago, his family swallowed her dowry, and now the factory wants to take her job and give it to the deputy factory manager’s daughter.
Everyone is waiting for her to slink back to the countryside.
But no one knows that she now has a warehouse for salvaging old items in her mind. She can repair broken radios, restore old sewing machines, and even turn scrapped parts into cash.
The junkyard everyone else avoids becomes the most profitable business in the county. The plump wife no one thought much of gradually becomes the woman no one dares cross in the family compound.
Her scumbag husband regrets everything, his family goes mad, and the green tea girl cries in frustration.
Only the coldest demobilized officer in the whole factory blocks her doorway and asks in a low voice:
“Lin Wanzhao, is our marriage of convenience still on?”
“This time, I want us to have a real life together.”
A very nice chronicle, every chapter has something to say. The adaptation of a short play can be good, but this is a good one. I had already abandoned dozens of books before and was too lazy to complain about it.
Super nice period piece
The parents are short-sighted, not cowardly, and down to earth.
It's very good, humane and real, so that we can all accept it.
My blood boils when I see it, so cheers👏
The writing is delicate, the characters are well-developed, and the story and emotional development are relatively reasonable.
