The story revolves around the emotional entanglement between Wen Shujiu and "crazy critic" Fu Yueting, integrating elements of suspense, sadomasochism and redemption. Wen Shujiu regains his sight through surgery, and Fu Yueting cures his paranoia in her love. The two resisted the family pressure and exposed all the conspiracies. The crimes of Huo Yangyang and others were exposed, and Wen Shujiu returned to the Huo family. Fu Yueting proposes, and the two get married. At the end, Wen Shujiu briefly returns to the prison point of the original plot, using a love letter to untie Fu Yueting's knot, completely breaking the tragic fate.
