Alternate title: The Fourth Calamity: My Players Sweep Through the Apocalypse
Thanks for the invite. I’m in the apocalypse, and I just walked out of a shelter.
After transmigrating to another world, Chen Xu arrives in the wasteland left behind by a great war, where he’s forced to live out a real-life version of Fallout.
Only, this wasteland isn’t quite what he remembers!
Other post-apocalyptic wastelands might have a few zombies or mutant beasts, but who can explain why all three major calamities are here in his apocalypse?
Swarming insect hordes that blot out the sky and ravage the land, rogue intelligent machines patrolling the ruins of cities and hunting humans, and psionic demons prowling the wilderness, sometimes going berserk and causing massive explosions...
Fortunately, Chen Xu discovers he can summon players to work for him.
They grow at an astonishing rate, fear no death, can revive endlessly, and keep multiplying as they fight!
From that day on, the whole wasteland takes on a different look:
“We’re one short. Need a tank to run the hive dungeon with us!”
“Any quack doctors around? Help me strap this huge rotary machine gun to my arm!”
“Kids, I reckon we need to mod these machines so they can go waaagh!!”
“This suit of plate armor was made by the best blacksmith on our server. I’ll only charge you 50 credits...”
“If we can’t save humanity from our enemies, then let the world burn! From ruined cities to the wilderness prowled by giant beasts, let war blaze and burn the galaxy to ash!!!”
All right, the enemies are ridiculous, but my players are even more ridiculous.
