In 2049 AD, a disaster known as the "Day of the Fall of the Gods" came without warning. The sky shattered, and the god who claimed to be the Creator stepped into the world. They are not the benevolent creators in the legend, but predators who feed on human civilization, viewing humans as lowly blood-eaters and expendable slaves. The old order collapsed instantly, the city was reduced to ruins, and the population dropped by 90%. Some of the survivors have awakened all kinds of strange "powers", but most of them have weak abilities and are vulnerable to the gods and their army of servants. Human beings are imprisoned in huge cages called "sanctuary areas", where offerings are made regularly and they survive. The world is shrouded in despair and divine power, and the fire of civilization is flickering. The true purpose and origin of the gods are hidden behind endless fog and lies.
