Dragon Raja: Sakura Wasn’t Late This Time

[If fate is a dead end, I’ll show you what happens when I go the other way]

Hongjing, Tokyo. Rain pours from the skies.

Holding Erii’s cold body in his arms, Lu Mingfei trades away his entire life just to bring her back. As the Little Devil collects his stake, he smiles with childish cruelty. “Big brother, how do you want to play this time?”

When he opens his eyes again, he is back in the summer he was eighteen.

The invitation from Cassell is still on the table, and the Ferrari 612 is still parked downstairs. There’s still time: time to win Nono back before she marries Caesar, time to carry Erii out of the laboratory, time to tell the girl who wrote “Sakura is the best”: “This time, I won’t be late again.”

But the road in this life is harder than the last.

The Gattuso family discovers the White King’s mark inside Nono and launches its artificial “Emperor” project three years early. Herzog and Kazama Ruri join forces, using Erii as the key to resurrect the White King. Principal Angers sees through his rebirth and regards him as a “variable” in the fight against the Black King. And the Little Devil waits in the shadows for him to cry out “Deal” in despair once more...

“No. I’m not making a deal this time.”

Lu Mingfei clasps Erii’s hand as they flee through Tokyo’s neon-lit streets, fighting their way through the schemes of the Snake and Scorpion Eight Families. He is no longer the pathetic loser who hid behind his senior. He is a revenant who clawed his way back from hell, a king ready to take on the whole world for his little monster.

“Last time, I lost you. This time, I’ll make the whole world remember...”

“Erii is mine. Nobody touches her.”

“This time, we’re all little monsters, but even the righteous Ultraman can’t defeat us.”
