However, the Source World was discovered by the **Old Dominators**.
In the Cthulhu mythology system, the Old Ones and Outer Gods are existences above the world. For these gods, a world with independent consciousness is both precious and dangerous - precious because its original power can be devoured, and dangerous because its world spirit can grow into a new threat.
The old rulers came one after another and regarded the Source World as their hunting ground and experimental ground**. Every advent means destruction.
After many times of destruction and reconstruction, the Source Realm has been changed beyond recognition, polluted by the remaining power of the old rulers, and turned into a ruin shrouded in eternal fog - **"Realm of Mist"**.
