Be Good, Don’t Break the Rules

When the rule-based horror-game dungeons arrive, everyone chosen to enter must face one truth: you were already doomed to die in the real world.

Every time you clear a dungeon, you earn more time to live, and perhaps even the rumored gift of immortality.

Duanmu Nanqiao couldn’t care less.

He was simply curious about how terrifying death could be.

Until he met Ji Yan.

Always elegant and composed, this man would reveal his identity with a smile at the very last moment. He was the true master of this forbidden realm.

He loved watching players’ faces as hope gave way to despair. He loved seeing them struggle desperately to survive, forever trapped in the game.

“You don’t want to live, do you?” For the first time, Ji Yan looked at a player with confusion in his eyes.

Duanmu Nanqiao tilted his head and smiled sweetly. “You tell me.”

He had never feared death, so the rules couldn’t bind him. He didn’t care about winning or losing, so Ji Yan’s most powerful weapon, psychological warfare, was useless against him.

For the first time, Ji Yan realized he couldn’t keep someone trapped.

Even more frightening was this:

He didn’t want to let this person go.

From then on, the master of the dungeons was no longer the hunter. He chased after that beautiful, world-weary man who hid his darkness beneath a sweet facade, traveling with him through one eerie world after another and personally tearing his own rules to shreds.

“You can’t get away,” Ji Yan said with a low laugh.

“Oh?” Duanmu Nanqiao looked back, his eyes as tender as they were hollow, like an abyss. “Then let’s see who’s trapped whom.”

When the hunter becomes the prey, and an immortal finally finds something more captivating than eternity, this is the most dangerous game of all, and they both willingly lose themselves in it.

Because the real horror story isn’t the dungeon. It’s that after falling in love with you, I began to fear death.
