Red Apricot Red

A story honoring the previous generation

Apricot blossoms covered the loess hills, but even their beauty could not withstand the hardships of life.

The spirited Gao Xinghong fell for Gu Wangchuan when she was young, but a twist of fate left her married to Li Changsheng, a frail man. She could not let go of her old love, yet staying by his side was no easy matter. Hardship and gossip came one after another.

Li, the brigade accountant, wielded real power and understood the ways of rural society inside and out. Torn between the rules and his conscience, one decision of his was enough to determine the fate of Xinghong and her family.

Swept along by the tide of the times, a group of ordinary people struggle to navigate love and hate, survival, and reality, living through a tragic romance of an era filled with regrets.
