A global system of mandatory supernatural rules has appeared without warning. Anyone who breaks a rule is immediately erased, and only those who survive can earn rewards in the real world.
Lin Shen is just a bottom-rung office worker, worn down by the 996 grind and used to taking whatever comes his way. He has no golden finger, no exceptional courage, only the patience, attention to detail, and resilience he has built up through endless overtime.
When he first enters the rule-based horror, all he can do is cower in a corner, afraid to make a sound, and scrape by by keeping out of trouble and avoiding mistakes.
Later, with no one to rely on, he learns to observe, test the waters, and make his own judgments, using the caution of an office worker to avoid one trap after another.
From blindly following others, to becoming someone people rely on and speaking up to warn them, then to sorting out the rules amid the chaos and leading a team to escape, he gradually breaks free of his inferiority complex and finds his footing.
While others recklessly gamble with their lives and fight to stand out, he doesn't rush ahead or follow blindly. If something seems wrong, he backs off. If he can't figure it out, he doesn't move.
There is no earth-shattering comeback, only the slow, steady growth of an ordinary person.
The once useless office worker who could only back down eventually becomes the most dependable survivor in the rule-based horror, and finds the courage to believe in himself again in the real world.
