My Account Is Linked to the County's GDP

Yesterday, I lost my job and slunk back to my small hometown, a loser mocked by the entire internet.

Today, the county's tax revenue is deposited into my account. I wake up to a million every day.

I’m bound to the “County Fiscal Revenue Symbiosis” System: whatever Fuyuan County earns, I get too.

But there’s something wrong with the System: not a single cent of this money is allowed to leave the county!

So I became the county’s most miserable rich man.

I have so much money it burns a hole in my pocket, but I can only spend it in this tiny backwater town!

Luxury cars? Buy them! The finest penthouse? Snap it up! A century-old restaurant on the verge of closing? I’ll take it!

Everyone thinks I’ve gone crazy. My ex-girlfriend says I’m too provincial, my relatives laugh at me for being stupid, and my classmates are waiting for me to go bankrupt.

Until

The rundown restaurant I bought drew foodies from the provincial capital in droves;

The little workshop I casually invested in came to dominate the national supply chain;

The old neighborhood I renovated became a trendy new landmark...

The people who once mocked me were stunned:

“Su Chen, how much money do you actually have?!”

I looked at the eight-digit sum that had just landed in my account and sighed:

“Don’t ask. All I can say is...”

“Building up my hometown is my ‘fixed expense’ every day.”

When I get rich, the whole county gets rich.

Now it’s my hometown’s turn to take off.
