Lin Xiaoyang's life could be summed up in four words: just stay alive.
He ranked third from the bottom in his class. The teachers never called on him, his classmates ignored him, and his mother had stopped scolding him because she was tired of it. Standing on the rooftop railing, he felt the world would be just as well off without him.
A calico cat rushed over and knocked him away. The cat fell instead.
When Lin Xiaoyang woke up, he found that he was still alive. But there was a new voice in his head:
"Let me borrow your body."
The cat had survived. It had moved into his body.
From then on, Lin Xiaoyang's whole vibe changed. He started ending his answers in class with "meow," stole an entire plate of braised fish from the cafeteria during lunch break, and was chased halfway around the track by the discipline director. Everyone thought he had gone crazy.
Only he knew that a god-tier teammate lived inside him.
The cat raised his grades with its "pick C for every multiple-choice question" strategy, scored a game-winning shot in a basketball match with its feline instincts, and used the school's stray-cat intelligence network to figure out every teacher's test-writing habits. His grades shot up from third from the bottom to second from the top. His homeroom teacher cried, and his mother smiled.
Even more ridiculously, the new transfer student, Shen Yiming, the top student in the whole school who always got perfect scores, cornered him on the rooftop. His first words were, "There's a cat living inside your body too, isn't there?"
The two cats stared at each other.
It turned out this wasn't one person's comeback. It was two cats teaming up.
Three months later, Lin Xiaoyang was second and Shen Yiming was first. The whole school was buzzing about the legend of a poor student making a comeback. Only the two cats knew this was nothing more than an ordinary bit of teamwork.
