Mr. Zhou Has Been Plotting This for a Long Time

[Marriage first, love later + older man + from abstinent to insatiable + powerful man loses control + age gap + contract marriage]

A self-controlled, refined capital tycoon × a gentle-looking but clear-eyed young woman

The day Yu Haitang returned to China, Zhou Hengxu pointed at her on a whim at the airport.

“She’ll do.”

A month later, she became Mrs. Zhou.

Zhou Hengxu was disciplined and refined, cool and noble, and famous in Beijing’s elite circles for his restraint.

He spoke politely, always held something back, and treated her with five parts aloofness.

Yu Haitang was perfectly happy with that.

After their wedding, they agreed: no interfering in each other’s lives, each gets what they need, and they only play the happy couple for outsiders.

A marriage of convenience suited her just fine. It left her free to focus on her career.

Until the fifth day of their marriage, when Yu Haitang was caught red-handed at a male-model club.

Her world came crashing down.

That night, the man calmly took off his watch, the metal clasp clicking softly.

Half an hour later, Yu Haitang stared up at the swaying crystal chandelier, her eyes red-rimmed from crying, unable to understand.

What happened to being abstinent? What happened to self-control?
