Broke? Then How Can You Become a Cyber Legend?

[Cyberpunk + decisive and ruthless + superpowers + invincible + wasteland + a tech version of the Omnimatrix] [The flesh is weak, mechanical ascension? If you’re broke, what’s the point?] Evan is a low-level mercenary, struggling to survive amid the garbage heaps of a cyberpunk slum. During a mission, his entire team is wiped out, but he accidentally fuses with a mysterious relic the corporations were fighting over: the [Furnace]. But then... [Ding! “Furnace” bound! Host detected to be spectacularly, breathtakingly poor!] A Level Six combat mech has been unlocked. Time limit: 30 seconds! (Exceed the limit and you’ll become a meat paste pancake!) In the cyberpunk world, even cheating your way to power requires careful budgeting! Brain-computer overclocking costs money! Cybernetic upgrades cost money! Reinforced armor costs money! And the hero fighting off corporate hit squads needs even more money! Evan looked at the sky-high modification bill and the pursuers all over the world, and snapped. Corporations, huh? Superheroes, huh? Just you wait. First, I’m going on a zero-dollar shopping spree... I mean, “raising funds” to buy the strongest cybernetic body! When the pitch-black mech descends once more and tears through the heroes’ defenses, a single truth will ring throughout New Vatra: Technology changes your fate, and spending big makes legends!
