This book is set in the Taihang Mountain Village in the early days of reform and opening up in 1981. It tells the story of Lin Qiushou, an assistant at the Modern Academy of Agricultural Sciences, who accidentally takes his neighbor's 5-year-old girl Su Nian with him and travels back to the 1980s with his ancestral portable space. Relying on his agricultural knowledge and space golden fingers, starting from providing food and clothing, he gradually plants, raises livestock, and discovers mountain products, and ultimately leads the whole village to become rich together and live a warm and healing pastoral life.
