Set in a Taihang Mountains village during the early days of reform and opening up in 1981, this story follows Lin Qiushou, an assistant at a modern agricultural research institute, who accidentally transmigrates to the 1980s with Su Nian, the five-year-old girl from next door, and an ancestral pocket dimension. Relying on his agricultural knowledge and his golden finger, he starts by solving the problem of food and clothing, then gradually develops crops, raises livestock, and uncovers mountain produce. In the end, he leads the entire village to prosperity and builds a warm, healing rural life.
