I Read Feng Shui in the City

My name is Su Wu, a man of the underworld who makes a living reading feng shui.

Of course, my business license lists my occupation as “traditional culture consultant.” These days, even superstition has to keep up with the times and have a respectable name.

My studio is on the ground floor of an old apartment building from the 1990s in the west of the city. A wooden sign hangs by the entrance, bearing four large characters in clerical script: Su Family Geomancy. My grandfather wrote them. If he knew I was using the geomantic art he passed down to me to tell people which way their toilets should face, I’m pretty sure he’d climb out of his grave and strangle me.
