Three Kingdoms: From the Start, Nothing but a Rabble

As the art of war says: the highest form of warfare is to defeat the enemy’s plans, followed by breaking their alliances, then defeating their armies. The worst approach is to lay siege to their cities.

In the chaos of the late Han, war fires blaze everywhere and the people are driven from their homes. I disdain slaughtering the people with weapons.

I will shape the wider course of events with strategy, bring peace to the people through benevolent rule, and keep the warlords in check with my might.

I will not mire the world in warfare or delight in slaughter. The highest form of warfare is to defeat the enemy without fighting;

I will spread my favor far and wide, win people over through virtue, and calmly await the day all under heaven turn their hearts to me.

I will pacify the Nine Provinces without drawing blood, unite the land without sacrificing a single horse, and usher in an age of peace that will last for millennia.
