There was a legend in the Lingang City art circle: Lin Jianshen, a talented painter, died at the age of twenty-six. He was ruined by a plagiarism scandal and disappeared ever since.
Three years later, he returned with a series of stunning paintings called "Erosion of Bones" that used red paint and painted the same woman's back. The birthmark on the waist of the woman in the painting is exactly the same as the mark on the body of his former agent and now the powerful gallery owner Shen Tinglan.
On the eve of the exhibition, Lin Jianshen encountered a bizarre car accident at the beach. Before he fell into coma, he only left a murmur: "The third painting... At the bottom of the sea..."
In his studio full of blood and paranoia, Shen Tinglan discovered clues pointing to the truth about the plagiarism case three years ago, as well as an unfinished horrifying painting - the woman in the painting had bone wings growing out of her waist.
The police intervened in the investigation, and it was discovered that Su Wan, Lin Jianshen's schoolmate and the accuser of "committing suicide into the sea" three years ago, may not be dead. And Shen Tinglan's buried secret also surfaced: she and Lin Jianshen were actually half-siblings.
