In the future, a disaster called the "Silent Plague" will sweep across the world. It does not eliminate life, but irreversibly erases and interferes with all "orderly sounds" - including language, music, and even mechanical roars of specific frequencies. The surviving human society retreated to the "Silent Era" that relied on gestures, light and shadow, and basic electromagnetic signals to communicate. The protagonist is a "sound listener" with the rare talent of being able to weakly perceive and analyze the remaining variants of "ordered sound waves". He/she discovers that the plague may not be a natural disaster, but a side effect of the ultimate defense system activated by an ancient civilization in order to seal a certain terrifying existence that comes with the "Ultimate Harmony". When the protagonist tries to find the "source of sound" to heal the world, he unexpectedly begins to awaken the sealed "ultimate harmony" that can reshape reality.
