After transmigrating to the Jianwu era of the Eastern Han dynasty, Zhang Ze, a seasoned manga fan, opens his eyes to discover that he has taken the place of the newly deceased Zhang Daoling, the first Celestial Master!
He thought he was in for a terrible start, but immediately awakened a dual-core golden finger:
His soul is deeply bound to China’s dragon veins. As long as the Daoist tradition endures and the dragon veins remain intact, his body will never decay and he will live forever!
As the sole creator and absolute master of the Celestial Master’s Degree, the top techniques of the ancient sages that later generations would fight over, the Eight Extraordinary Skills, are all sealed within it!
To avoid overturning the broad course of history, Zhang Ze lays out two thousand years as his game board, takes control of the laws governing cause and effect in heaven and earth, then falls into a deep slumber to conceal himself from Heaven’s designs.
His incarnations appear everywhere throughout the long river of time.
He once guided a young Zhang Zhiwei and made him promise to keep a secret for a hundred years;
During the Anti-Japanese War, he once used thunder techniques to suppress evil spirits in the battle at Mianshan, preserving the Tang Sect’s principles and earning Wu Gensheng’s complete submission;
He also once broke the death curse imposed on those who mastered the Eight Extraordinary Skills, and even anchored Feng Baobao’s soul in advance, deep in a Sichuan cave, as she awoke!
Until 2015, on the eve of the Luotian Grand Ceremony.
A young Daoist priest calling himself “Zhang Xuanyang” leisurely wandered down the mountain.
At last, Zhang Zhiwei, the foremost figure in the modern world of extraordinary people, respectfully asked him in private:
“Grandmaster...”
“How do we break this game?”
