Across Passes and Mountains

Lin Yun'an was born into the Lin family as their youngest son. Born prematurely, he had a weak immune system, so he entered a sham marriage to obtain his family’s ancestral recipe, marrying Guo Zhuru, who was pregnant with her ex-husband’s child. After Guo Zhuru gave birth and faked her death, he fell for Zhou Guanyue, a young intellectual sent to the countryside.

Can a sham marriage really change your sexual orientation?

On the first day Zhou Guanyue was forced to go to the countryside, he fell for a widower. First he questioned his whole life, then agonized in disbelief, then accepted his feelings and made a plan to pursue him.

Years later, he would be glad he’d been open-minded enough to make his move early. Love you, old self.
