I am Shen Ci, a writer who has penned a thousand murder mystery scripts. While searching for my friend, who has been missing for three years, I was dragged into a real-life death game.
Every time I enter a dream for the first time, a dark red character meaning "theater" is branded deep into my left wrist. From then on, I embark on a perilous fight for survival, with death lurking at every turn.
The paper bride at the blood-red wedding, the vengeful spirit in the funeral home's icy morgue, the wronged ghost of the century-old opera house...
While others struggle to survive inside the scripts, I rely on my golden finger, [Script Tracing], to see through every rule and trap at a glance and predict each killing move!
I unravel conspiracies that have endured for a century, forge bonds with companions who share life and death, and unlock incredible abilities such as stabilizing my virtue through good deeds and binding enemies with red silk to kill them.
The mysterious man in black calls me the "Seventh Key." Every death game is a trial set by the Old Gods.
With the theater mark as my proof and deduction as my blade, I will defy fate, gather all seven theater-character tokens, break the script's curse, and uncover the ultimate secret of the death game!
