Pokemon: Starting with a Boss Magikarp

[Magikarp from the start + urban setting + slow burn + no female lead + ensemble cast + protagonist’s growth + System (support only)]

Yan Song gets hit by an electric scooter and wakes up in the Pokémon world.

Why is there a Magikarp with Emperor-level potential in my house?!

Who says Magikarp can’t evolve? I’m going to prove them wrong!

I’m a Gyarados, and my Trainer doesn’t seem like a normal human. He can fall from a height of dozens of meters without a scratch, move through the trees as easily as walking on flat ground, and, when necessary, even get into hand-to-hand combat with other Trainers.

With skills like that, why bother catching Pokémon? He could beat the entire League by himself!

(In this book’s world, people believe Magikarp is the weakest Pokemon and can’t evolve. The System’s main functions are the Pokédex and object identification, along with a Lake of Rage dungeon that speeds up Magikarp’s training and gives the protagonist an early lead in strength. Later on, it won’t have much impact on battle strength. Pokémon potential can be understood as Individual Values in games, such as 4V, 5V, and 6V. This aspect will gradually become less important later in the story.)

(The protagonist will catch only one Legendary Pokémon, Celebi. He won’t mindlessly catch Pokémon.)
