[Historical What-If] [Tang Dynasty Wasteland] [Epic Ensemble Cast] [Decisive and Ruthless] [Political Intrigue]
During the Shangyuan Festival, Chang’an glows with lanterns as envoys from countless nations pay tribute.
Pei Changge, an officer of the law in Wannian County, assumes the urgent dispatch arriving that night is, at worst, news of a rebellion that later generations will call the An Lushan Rebellion.
That is, until he sees it with his own eyes:
The alluring Western Regions courtesan in Pingkang Ward twists her joints and bites off half her client’s face.
The high and mighty nobles crawl on the ground like mad dogs, tearing into one another.
The heavily armored Mo Dao troops, the pride of the Tang, become a desperate meat grinder before monsters that feel neither fatigue nor pain!
It turns out An Lushan’s trump card when he rebelled in Fanyang wasn’t an army at all!
In just three days, the Tang capital, home to a million people, is reduced to a dead city.
With the ward walls tightly sealed and endless waves of the dead closing in, Pei Changge chooses to put them to rest by force!
Taking along an abandoned Tang princess, a courtesan harboring a secret, and a cold-blooded scholar from a humble family, he plunges into Chang’an’s dark underground waterways. With strong liquor, fire oil, and the crudest traps made from cold weapons, they fight their way out in a river of blood!
But when they emerge from the city gates, they discover there is no escape outside. The entire Tang dynasty has already fallen apart.
The emperor flees west, warlords carve up the land, Jiangnan builds walls to defend itself, and foreign cavalry take advantage of the chaos...
In this apocalyptic wasteland called the Tang, more terrifying than the zombies is the total collapse of the human heart.
Facing utter despair, Pei Changge wipes the black blood from his blade and looks back at a world in ruins.
“If the Tang is already dead, then I’ll carve out a bright new world with the blade in my hand!”
The logic is clear, the content is complete, and the characters are fleshed out. The author created a Tang Dynasty full of corpses in Chang'an. The growth of the protagonist is also clearly visible. The plot is compact and there is no nonsense. You can feel the author's sincerity.
Thank you for writing such a beautiful story [sending my heart]
Great book, let me break it down 0 comments
Support the author, come on✊
It's quite good-looking, a bit like the Tang version of Resident Evil + The Walking Dead. The story theme is novel.
I've been looking forward to it for so long @ biezhijingniao. The next book will still have this theme. Can it be about the Song Dynasty?
It's very high quality, and the author even wrote a song specifically for the battle scenes. It's an absolute masterpiece in Tomato.
It's really good to read. I didn't expect Tomato to have a book of this quality.
