The Heavenly Punishment Chronicles

In the thirteenth year of Yuanxi in the Great Jing Dynasty, all seventy-two members of the Lu family are due to be executed in three days.

Lu Zheng, a police academy prodigy and rising star in forensic science, transmigrates and awakens in a death-cell. A hellish start?

No matter. There is no perfect crime, only exchanges of matter that have yet to be discovered!

“Monster haunting the place? What nonsense!”

With the confidence of someone who completed nine years of compulsory education, Lu Zheng carves out a path through a supernatural world overrun by demons and bizarre phenomena.

Yet the great detective Lu, who throws his weight around outside and sweeps through the halls of power, has to face a sharp-tongued, haughty aunt at home, a bookish cousin who embarrasses himself every day, and a gluttonous little sister who will put anything in her mouth.

Lu Zheng sighs. “Solving cases is exhausting. Watching my cousin embarrass himself is much more fun.”
