Her Skin

Chen Mo, a 28-year-old office worker at the bottom of the ladder, unexpectedly acquires a paper-thin “human skin.” Once he puts it on, he can perfectly transform into Shen Ruotang, a 46-year-old business tycoon with an iron will.

By day, dressed in bespoke haute couture suits, he calls the shots in a game of hundred-billion-yuan capital, manipulating the moguls who once looked down on him. At night, he sheds the skin and uses the businesswoman’s fingerprints, iris, and voice to quietly move assets and set his plans in motion.

But he gradually discovers that more than memories linger in this body: Shen Ruotang’s own ambition and desire refuse to fade away. Whenever he dreams in the dead of night, the “her” in the mirror curls her lips and murmurs with a sultry voice that isn’t his: “You’re playing me? You’re nothing but another skin of mine.”

As the line between hunter and prey blurs completely, Chen Mo finally realizes that he didn’t put on the businesswoman’s skin. The skin chose him to be its puppet.
