Lin Ye's last memory was a line of error code.
"Fatal Error."
He had worked himself to death at his desk. After 48 straight hours of overtime, seven cups of cold coffee sat before him. His fingers still rested on the keyboard, and the bug on his screen was only half fixed.
When he opened his eyes again, he saw two moons.
One blue and one red, hanging in the sky screen as dawn's light faded, eerie yet magnificent.
A dilapidated wooden hut, moldy straw, and strange energy surging through the air: he had transmigrated. He had taken over the body of a borderland boy whose parents were missing. He had no money, and his level was only 1, the lowest there was.
Lin Ye took three seconds to accept reality.
Not because he was especially laid-back, but because a mechanical voice sounded in his mind.
"Fate Simulator activated. Simulate the next seven days?"
He tapped "Yes."
Three seconds later, a line of cold text appeared before him:
"At dawn on the third day, bandits raid Graystone Village. The villagers' resistance fails, and thirty-two people are killed. The bandit leader beheads you with a single slash."
Lin Ye stared at the words, his fingers turning cold.
The entire village would die in three days.
He looked at the System interface again and spotted a key button:
[Inherit the abilities from this simulation and bring them back to reality.]
Could abilities from the simulation really be brought back to reality?
Lin Ye's pupils contracted sharply.
Without hesitation, he clicked "Simulate Again."
In the first simulation, he fought head-on and died.
In the second, he ran, was caught, and died.
In the third, he set traps, laid false trails, and lured the enemy into a trap, and survived.
