Reborn as a deposed empress, Shen Zhao has only three goals:
Make her enemies pay with their lives, force the emperor to his knees, and change the ruling family of the realm.
When a fire engulfs the Cold Palace, she fakes her death and escapes.
At court, she plots every move with consummate skill.
The entire Liu family is executed, the Zhao family is uprooted, the empress dowager is deposed, and the emperor is abandoned by all.
Everyone is searching for the mysterious “Mister Su.”
No one knows she is the deposed empress who was supposedly “burned to death” in the Cold Palace.
Until the day she casts off her disguise and stands before the dragon throne.
The court officials kneel as one: “Your Majesty, please ascend the throne!”
She gives only a single word:
“Granted.”
