[Captivity] [Male Lead Torture] [Love and Hate] [Both Leads Are Chaste] [Forced Love]

She was the only princess of the Great Zhou, donning armor and riding into battle at fifteen, then raising her sword against the empire at twenty-five.

The year after she ascended the throne, the boy she had taken in, Helian Zexi, wore the golden armor she had bestowed upon him and used the martial arts she had taught him to pierce her heart with a thousand arrows.

As she drew her last breath, she swore: In my next life, I’ll make sure you can neither live nor die in peace.

Three years later, a bolt of lightning split open her tomb.

She sat up in her coffin, nothing but a skeleton.

And he, once a bright-eyed young man, had become the all-powerful regent: white-haired and dressed in red, ruthless in battle, and feared by every official at court.

Her revenge begins now.

She kicked him in the chest, and broke her foot bone.

She slapped him across the face, and her hand bones went flying.

She cursed and ranted; he nodded and cowered.

From then on, the officials witnessed a daily spectacle: the regent who kept the entire court silent was berated by a skeleton pointing a finger at his nose. After she slapped his left cheek, he offered her his right, then knelt before her and asked cautiously:

“Your Majesty, what color would you like your finger bones today? Gilded gold or kingfisher blue?”

She grabbed him by the throat. “Are you insane?”

He smiled. “Thank you for Your Majesty’s concern. I’m deeply honored.”

Things gradually took a strange turn.

Until one day, he cradled his pregnant belly, basking in the glory of fatherhood.

She stared at his swollen abdomen, and her skeletal jaw clattered to the floor.

He picked it up gently and set it back in place. “Your Majesty, I’m carrying your child.”
