The Distant Mountains Roar

A boy from the mountains holds fast to his dream; one engine's roar gives him a lifelong pursuit.

Zhang Feng was born deep in the mountains of western Hunan. The first time he saw a motorcycle, at the age of five, he planted the seed of a dream: to build one himself. He left school to learn a trade, dedicated himself to motorcycle mechanics, and traveled to Chongqing to chase his dream. There, he found a beloved partner and companions to journey with him, and devoted himself to developing engines for Chinese motorcycles.

From the glory of winning championships to betrayal and the desperate plight of having his technology stolen, he never bowed his head. With nothing but courage and a craftsman's dedication, he turned the tables, until Chinese engines roared across the world and he held on to the love of his life.

The distant mountains bear witness; the engine gives voice. The boy keeps chasing the wind, and his first dream finally carries him far away.
