[Pure Romance] [Mutual Devotion] [Slow Burn]
[Introverted, Resilient Boy × Gentle, Forward Girl]
Shen Yu, the café owner, once said, “That girl isn't here for coffee. She's here to wait for someone.”
Wen Xu asked, “Who?”
Shen Yu glanced at him and said nothing.
Later, Wen Xu found out. Su Xiao came to the café every Wednesday and Saturday, ordered the cheapest coffee, and sat in the second seat by the window for an entire afternoon. She wasn't there for the coffee. She was there to see him.
Wen Xu came from the mountains and was used to bearing everything on his own. He never said when he was cold or tired, or when he was short on money. Su Xiao was the first person he wanted to tell.
She asked him, “Wen, when did you start liking me?”
Wen Xu thought for a moment. “The day you first came to the café. You ordered an Americano and said you liked bitter things, because after the bitterness comes the sweetness.”
Su Xiao smiled. “That Americano was really bitter. I added sugar twice.”
Wen Xu looked at her.
“I know. I saw you.”
This is my first time writing a book, so please bear with me.
