On the verge of bankruptcy, programmer Chen Mo binds the “Get Rich by Losing Money” System.
The more the company loses, the more his personal fortune skyrockets. He blows all his savings renting the top floor of a CBD tower and hires ten workplace nightmares: an illustrator with severe procrastination, an HR rep who pushes wellness advice on everyone, an operations employee who livestreams mukbangs at work, and an accountant who insists on keeping the books with an abacus.
As Chen Mo excitedly waits for the company to go bankrupt, the procrastinating illustrator’s sketches are hailed as artistic treasures, the wellness-obsessed HR rep’s massage therapy doubles the team’s efficiency, and the mukbang videos unexpectedly make the company’s products a hit. With his grand plan to lose money about to collapse, he calls an emergency meeting late that night. “Starting today, everyone must leave work on time. Overtime is forbidden. Anyone who breaks this rule will be fined!”
The next morning, Chen Mo looks at the empty desks and weeps with joy. But the administrative director bursts in, clutching a report. “Boss, the creative IP that the employees developed voluntarily overnight was just bought by Disney!”
