He Knelt and Begged Me to Come Back

Su Nianqing never expected to see her ex-boyfriend again after three years, and in his restoration studio, of all places.

He was an aloof restorer at the National Museum; she was a lowly appraiser delivering an item.

He glanced at her and said flatly, “Put it there.”

She thought he didn’t remember her.

Until he picked up the vase she had once broken and said unhurriedly, “The person who applied this glue had very shaky hands.”

Her blood turned cold in an instant.

He knew everything.

And he was the one who had commissioned the work.

He had set a trap and waited for her to walk right into it.

“You’ll stay here for the entire restoration.”

“Otherwise, I’ll withdraw it from auction.”

Su Nianqing gritted her teeth and stayed.

She thought he wanted revenge, but instead he carefully plotted every step, all to beg her to come back.

Later, he used the restored vase to propose to her in front of everyone. “I can mend the cracks in this vase. I can mend things between us, too.”
