Lu Wuyi vs. Jiuying vs. Jiling
As a young creature, the ancient calamity beast Jiuying was shown kindness by Dizhu. But driven by extreme possessiveness, Jiuying killed all of Dizhu's suitors, and Dizhu died in a hurricane.
To resurrect her beloved, Jiuying wreaked havoc across the three realms and was sealed by the Nine Dragons. Ten thousand years later, Jiuying used the souls of ten thousand foxes to stitch together Lu Wuyi, a substitute for Dizhu, then subjected her to a twisted upbringing and imprisonment.
After Lu Wuyi escaped, Jiuying erased her memories and forced her into Wuxiangyue, while disguising herself as Nuwa.
In Wuxiangyue, Lu Wuyi met Wuwangyan. Together, they set out to capture Xiao Wei and investigate the heart-removal murders.
During this time, Lu Wuyi fell in love with Jiling. Jiuying was furious, secretly stirring up trouble at every turn and covertly influencing events whenever Lu Wuyi traveled back in time. Jiuying wanted to stop Lu Wuyi and Jiling from falling in love, but every time, the two ended up together.
Eventually, everyone discovered that Lu Wuyi was Jiuying's vessel.
To protect the human world and Jiling, Lu Wuyi chose to take her own life in the final battle. Jiuying, smiling in despair, vanished along with her. She said, “I thought that if I didn't die, neither would you. Never mind. Dying together with you doesn't seem so bad.”
