Everyday Gossip in a 1970s Courtyard

Su Niannian dreams that her niece steals her wedding and drives her to her death. She wakes with a start, only to find the dream has come true: her blind date has been snatched away, and she is so frightened she ends up in the hospital. Gu Yuan, a feverish engineer from next door, pushes open her door and proposes: “Auntie, what do you think of me?” Three days later, they marry in a whirlwind and move into the Hongxing compound, only for her to discover that her niece’s husband lives there too. From then on, she sips medicine and cracks sunflower seeds, using her “human radar” to uncover the nine scandalous dramas of the courtyard: premarital pregnancy, affairs in the restroom, fake heiresses, spy scares… Married first, love later: she stays alive by watching the drama and turns her nightmare into a sweet dream.
