When Withered Branches and Leaves Meet Spring Again

[Boys' love, romance-focused, devoted to each other, happy ending, growing love, no misunderstandings, no rivalry between women, no stand-ins. They grow through their trials, and fall in love as they grow.]

At first: A cool, sharp-tongued Akita versus a pure, cheerful little bunny.

Later: A loyal, devoted puppy versus a fiery little fox who loves and hates with all her heart.

Xie Ran (Changning): “May you know lasting peace, year after year.”

Song Chi (Wenjun): “May you always know peace, beloved, and live without worries.”

An elder once composed a poem for them, titled “Crossing Over”:

It should have been a simple, carefree crossing, but a cup of thin wine led us astray in this mortal world. At the end of the road, with mountains and rivers all behind us, even withered branches and leaves will bloom again in spring.

The Tianlan Continent has nine provinces. Among them is the Immortal Alliance, which is made up of five great clans: the Lin clan of Diqiu, the Song clan of Xunyang, the Xie clan of Yiling, the Zhou clan of Yongjia, and the Su clan of Yanling.

Twenty years ago, the Immortal Alliance established a tradition of friendly ties between the five clans through joint lectures. This year's lectures are hosted by the Song clan of Xunyang, and that's where the story begins.

At first: “Thank you for your concern, Young Master Song.” “I’m not concerned about you. Don't flatter yourself.” A month later: “Senior Brother, I'm sorry.” “Will that fix anything? Go. I don't want to see you!”

A year later: “No one will protect me anymore.” “From now on, I'll protect you.” Two years later, someone risks everything to save Xie Ran alone: breaking into the Lin clan for love, enduring a lightning tribulation for love, fighting the Demon Emperor for love, and waiting for the flowers to bloom. He has no regrets in this life. Three years later, another waits by lamplight for love: “When the Koelreuteria trees bear fruit, shall I wait for you beneath one?” “All right. If time treats you kindly, I will never let you down.”

In the end: A long sword and a jade flute roam the world together, and from then on, every hardship in the mortal realm fades away. When withered leaves cross over and bloom again in spring, may we be true to time and true to each other.
