Playing an NPC, I Reaped Every Player

Other people enter horror games as players. I'm an NPC, and when players die, I can inherit their skills.

Lu Yuan wakes up in the Blood High School instance as a night watchman. He can't leave, but he can revive infinitely. When the first group of players begin killing each other in a panic, he accidentally activates the [Inheritance System], claims the dead players' powers, and launches a global livestream. The chat goes wild: "That NPC's eyes look suspicious!" The top-ranked donor sends him a private message: "I know you're not an ordinary NPC. Want to work together?"

From security guard to principal, from a hoarder neighbor to a World Tree NPC, he plays countless roles, acquires thousands of skills, forms an alliance of Awakened, and builds an autonomous haven for NPCs. When higher-dimensional viewers arrive, when the Creator awakens, and when ending the game means every existence will perish, he chooses to become a third kind of being: both actor and audience, both virus and god, both data and human.

"This isn't a horror game. It's my infinite theater."
