I Slay the Gods in My Dreams

Jiang Cheng was an ordinary high school senior whose only trouble was having the same nightmare every night.

That is, until one day he shattered the shadow that had been haunting him with a punch in his dream.

When he woke up, he found that his fist had punched through the concrete wall of his dormitory.

The school beauty, Luo Qingli, found him. “You killed a Fallen God. They have their eyes on you now.”

It turned out that forgotten old gods, evil gods, and fallen immortals lay dormant in dreams. They eroded humanity from within, trying to return to reality. A tiny number of “Awakened” could kill them in their dreams and turn their divine power to their own use.

From then on, Jiang Cheng attended classes and exams by day and entered dreams to slay gods by night.

The Norse god of trickery, the Greek god of war, fallen immortals from the East... One Fallen God after another fell to his fists.

But as the boundary between dreams and reality collapsed, he realized that every god he slew was bringing him closer to a shocking truth:

You think you're protecting reality? In fact, you're only protecting another dream.

When the Old Ones awaken from the deepest reaches of dreams, Jiang Cheng must choose: become the god of a new world, or remain a high school student who just wants a good night's sleep?

“My name is Jiang Cheng. I slay the gods in my dreams.”
