Sorrowful Wild Geese: A Glimmer of Light in Troubled Times

[Aihong]+ [Late Ming]+ [Not a Power Fantasy]+ [Ensemble Cast]+ [Happy Ending]

Su Lianyan: “Zhiyou, this is... the best ending I can think of.”

Lin Pianpian: “I’ll pay for this document myself... From now on... I’ll be called Lin Pianpian.”

Mansui: “Master Liang, now the old grudge between us has finally been settled.”

Sister Yun: “A duckweed leaf drifting out to sea: wherever you go in life, you may meet again.”

This is a fanfic based on Aihong: Ten Days of the Fallen City. It tells a story set in Yangzhou during the late Ming and early Qing dynasties.

Although this is a game fanfic, I’ll do my best to make the story complete. Some of the backstory and worldbuilding will be filled in throughout the plot, so readers who haven’t played the game can still enjoy it.

For readers who have played Starving Me and Aihong, this story can be seen as taking place in a parallel universe. What would happen if Lin Pianpian hadn’t been sold into the brothel district, but had instead been taken to the Lingyin Pavilion and met Su Lianyan at an early age? How would the story unfold from there...?
