My Back Door Leads to the Tang Dynasty, and I Make Sizhi Drool from the Start

Tired of the rat race in the city, Lu Xingye returns to his hometown to open a village café and lie flat with his adorable three-year-old.

Who would have thought the wooden door to the storage room led straight to the imperial garden of the Tang dynasty? And the old sand table in the café offered a god's-eye view of all Chang'an!

One day, his little girl was sitting on the doorstep, munching on fried chicken, when a little girl in ancient clothes peeked through the crack in the door. Her face was pale as paper, and she couldn't stop swallowing at the sight of the food.

The toddler offered her a chicken drumstick, and from then on, the Tang dynasty was turned upside down!

Little Sizi munched on fried chicken and drank milk tea. After recovering from her illness, she became the toddler's little sidekick, pestering her every day to watch cartoons.

Li Shimin stared at the sand table, his eyes wide with shock. “Boss Lu, please make it rain on the sand table and end our drought!”

Cheng Yaojin slapped his thigh. “Innkeeper, lend me that tractor so I can take on the Turks!”

Li Yuan clutched the bottle of Moutai and refused to let go. “This liquor is incredible! I'll be your security guard!”

Instant noodles for gold bars, lighters for antiques: modern knickknacks became priceless treasures in the Tang dynasty.

As Lu Xingye looked after the toddler and ran his village café, he used modern technology to leave the Tang dynasty utterly outclassed, all while lying flat and earning his way to becoming the richest man alive. Life couldn't get any better!
