(A cold on the outside, warm on the inside, evidence-driven male detective × a gentle but resilient, delicate-looking female lead)
Criminal investigator Jiang Yi has always trusted evidence, not ghosts or gods. Yet somehow, he ends up haunted by a female ghost from the Republican era.
She has been bound by an obsession for a hundred years. Her only wish is for him to help her find her head so she can finally be reincarnated in peace.
From then on, the two are bound together, impossible to separate.
He takes her to investigate the old grounds of Shen Garden, where they unearth three layers of bones from different eras and solve one long-buried case after another.
At first, he treats her as nothing more than a case to investigate. But after spending day and night together, this iron-hearted detective quietly falls in love with a ghost he cannot touch, a ghost who cannot face the light.
