Mo Jialin Campus Life

"Mo Jialin's Campus Life" is a four-volume novel written by Mo Fenggang. It tells the story of a Hunan girl named Mo Jialin's twelve years of study from a rural middle school to a Ph. D. At Peking University, as well as the deep emotional bond between her and her father, the old miner Mo Fenggang. My father had been an underground miner in Shanxi for 30 years. He was a survivor of the 1995 mining accident. After he was released from prison, he planted an oil tea forest in Wawu Mountain to atone for his sins. The daughter walked into the town middle school with his miner's certificate, put a hand-drawn map of "home" on the bedside of the dormitory, and adopted the first tea tree. After being admitted to the city's No. 1 Middle School and Peking University for undergraduate, master's and doctoral degrees, Mo Jialin struggled with the gap between urban and rural areas. She disagreed and reconciled with her father in the language collision of "tree" and "ecology". Her friend Lin Xiaowei's unexpected pregnancy, the establishment of the Wawushan Cooperative, and her father's late-stage diagnosis of pneumoconiosis made her understand the true meaning of "You can't come back until you have traveled far away" - it is not a geographical return, but a return with knowledge, resources, and vision, allowing the roots to grow new branches and leaves.
